BUCHANAN COUNTY, IA (IRN) – A child is dead after an accident involving a semi on a property in Buchanan County, according to KCRG-TV. The Sheriff’s office isn’t providing any details, and no names are being released pending the investigation and notification of family.

JASPER COUNTY, IA (IRN) – Two adults and a child were injured Saturday when they were attacked by several dogs that were running loose in western Jasper County. KCCI-TV reports a woman was walking her dogs when several dogs attacked hers. The woman and a man who tried to help her suffered serious dog bites. A boy who also tried to help was injured, but not bitten. Two dogs died of injuries from the other dogs, and one was injured.

WATERLOO, IA (IRN) – Police and a bomb squad were called to a home in Waterloo after a man found a 40 mm artillery round in the wall of his garage. KWWL-TV reports the man says he was working on his garage when he found the shell. No one was injured.

WEST DES MOINES, IA (IRN) – A West Des Moines chiropractor will be heading to Rio to be a chiropractor for the U.S.A. Olympic wrestling team. Kevin Miller owns E.P. True Chiropractic, and will be one of six chiropractors working for the team in Rio. Miller says he stumbled upon chiropractic care when he was injured as an All-American wrestler in college. He says, “A neck injury almost ended my career but chiropractic is what helped me and saved my career.”
