KEOKUK AND JEFFERSON COUNTIES, IA (IRN) – A man has been arrested following bank robberies in Packwood and Hedrick over the summer. KCII-radio reports Ethan Nelson-David Spray of Ottumwa was charged in Jefferson and Keokuk Counties for robbery in the first degree, class B felonies punishable by up to 25 years in prison. On June 1st the Pilot Grove Savings Bank in Packwood was robbed at gunpoint. On August 6th in Hedrick the South Ottumwa Savings bank was also robbed, also at gunpoint.

DES MOINES, IA (IRN) – A 42-year-old man was booked into Polk County Jail Monday for sexually abusing a 14-year-old in July 2017. KCCI-TV reports Jason Imi and another person allegedly forced the teen into a room inside a Des Moines apartment building and assaulted her. Authorities were able to identify Imi as a suspect but were unable to find him. Imi spent a year on the run before authorities tracked him down in Hawaii.

BENTONVILLE, AR (IRN) – Human remains found near Mason City are that of an Arkansas woman missing for nearly 10 years. Cerilla Ann Doyle purchased a bus ticket to Tulsa, Oklahoma, in October of 2008 and her whereabouts were unknown since then. There’s no indication of foul play, but police continue to investigate. Doyle had retired from a local police department and was 51 when she disappeared.

OTTUMWA, IA (IRN) – An Ottumwa middle school student who allegedly threatened to shoot another student via Snapchat is now facing a misdemeanor charge. WHO-TV reports the student was on a Facetime conversation via Snapchat when the second student showed a handgun and threatened to shoot the first student. Police found the threat to be credible.

COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA (IRN) – President Donald Trump has scheduled a campaign rally on Oct. 9 in Council Bluffs where he is expected to announce year-round access to gasoline with 15 percent ethanol, also called E15. The announcement will come as a boost to the farm economy.
