RUTHVEN, IA (IRN) – Law enforcement have made an arrest in connection to the death of a man who was found in an Iowa lake. On July 22, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a body in Virgin Lake, south of Ruthven. Authorities found a body about 25 feet from the shore. They identified the body as Rollin J. Bontrager, 27, of Washington. On Friday, officials charged Allan Michael Dean Schwidder, 29, of Emmetsburg, with first-degree murder in connection to Bontrager’s death.
