DES MOINES, IA (IRN) – Des Moines Police are investigating the city’s first homicide of 2021. Officers found a 52-year-old man with a gunshot wound around 11:20 p.m. Friday. He was taken to a hospital but died early Saturday morning.

IOWA CITY, IA (IRN) – The University of Iowa men’s basketball team will be without a key contributor during the home stretch of the season due to a knee injury. Jack Nunge, the redshirt sophomore guard from Newburgh, Indiana, tore the meniscus of his right knee during a game against Michigan on Thursday. He will undergo surgery and likely spend between four to six months recovering. Nunge is the team’s leading scorer coming off the bench.
