DAVENPORT (IRN) – The owner of an Iowa apartment building that collapsed earlier this year is suing an engineering company for not warning about how unsound the facility was structurally. The Quad City Times reported Andrew Wold is taking Select Structural Engineering to court for the collpased apartment building in Davenport. Three men died and a woman lost a leg as part of the incident.

AMES (IRN) – At least three Republican presidential candidates announced plans to attend this weekend’s Cy-Hawk game. KCCI-TV reports former President Donald Trump, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, and former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson are going to meet with potential voters at the Iowa-Iowa State football game in Ames on Saturday.

IOWA CITY (IRN) – An Iowa Hawkeye wrestler is collecting items to support those impacted by deadly wildfires in Hawaii. KCRG reports Nanea Estrella is a native of the country and is holding a drive for supplies to support her native country. She’s also been working to spread awareness on campus.
