MARION – An Iowa man admitted to police that he killed three people Wednesday in Linn County. KCCI-TV reports deputies responded to a call this week where they found three people dead from blunt force injuries, with a fourth person in critical condition. Thirty-four year old Luke Truesdell of Marion was found on the property and admitted to police he was responsible for the incidents and had used a metal pipe. He’s charged with three counts of First Degree Murder and one count of attempted murder. Romondus Lamar Cooper of Cedar Rapids, Keonna Victoria Ryan of Cedar Rapids, and Amanda Sue Parker of Vinton died in the attack.

IOWA – An examination by State Auditor Rob Sand found issues with the bookkeeping in three Iowa towns over a two-year span. The Des Moines Register reports Doris Loy was the city clerk in Lorimor, Woodburn, and Patterson, someone who resident complained had been let go from several jobs but never charged. Sand made a recommendation to Union County attorneys to explore charges, as his team found Loy was overpaid overtime, vacation, and sick leave.

IOWA – Some residents and businesses have been without phone and internet services for a week after a water pipe burst in a downtown Des Moines building. WHO-13 reports some residents in the metro are still struggling to have needed infrastructure fixed by Lumen. The company claims they are still working to resolve a small number of issues that arose from the damage suffered last week.
