RED OAK – A man is in custody following an alleged stabbing at an apartment complex in Red Oak. The Iowa Department of Investigation reports that Red Oak Police responded to a 911 call for assistance Thursday night for an individual requesting assistance. Officers found a man suffering from a stab wound, who was subsequently treated for his injuries. Thirty-two-year-old Miguel Ramone Martinez was arrested and charged with Willful Injury, a Class C Felony.

CLIVE – A Des Moines man has been charged with attempted murder for an alleged stabbing in Clive. WHO-13 reports 62-year-0old Wa’il Muhannad is in custody following an early Friday morning incident. Police say they found 28-year-old Dakarai Jackman outside of a hotel suffering from apparent stab wounds, and he is expected to recover. Muhannad is accused of fleeing the scene on foot but was detained quickly after.

FREMONT COUNY – Parents in Fremont County are in custody after they were accused of neglecting a toddler. KCCI-TV reports that police accuse Dustin Perry and Lindsey Hamilton, both 26, of keeping a four-year-old in a mixture of both animal and human feces. Officers claim they found multiple changes at the child’s home in Shenendoah.

LANSING – A police department in eastern Iowa has lost its staff, leaving two Iowa communities without officers. KCRG-TV reports the Iowa State Patrol and Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for patrolling Lansing and New Albin. The City of Lansing lost its chief and two officers in short order.
