FORT DODGE, IA (IRN) – The Fort Dodge Police Department said a man is charged with attempted murder after a 71-year-old family member was injured in a stabbing. Arriving officers found 37-year-old Reino Bodady at the home and detained him without incident. Police located the woman inside and found she had significant injuries to her neck and abdomen. She was transported to a local hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. Police did not release her identity. Bodady is charged with attempted murder.

KEOKUK COUNTY, IA (IRN) – The Iowa Department of Natural Resources says that a man died in Keokuk County Thursday after a tree stand collapsed. Raymond Byers, 76, was reported missing when authorities said he didn’t come home after hunting on his property.

WEST LAFAYETTE, IN (IRN) – Sophomore receiver David Bell caught three touchdown passes, including the game winner, to guide the Purdue Boilermakers to a 24-20 victory over Iowa Saturday.

STILLWATER, OK (IRN) – Spencer Sanders passed for 235 yards and ran for 71 and a touchdown in his return from injury, and No. 6 Oklahoma State defeated No. 17 Iowa State 24-21 on Saturday.
