CEDAR FALLS, IA (IRN) – A shooting early Sunday morning in Cedar Falls has sent three people to the hospital. Two of the victims are suffering from life-threatening injuries.

CEDAR RAPIDS, (IRN) – Cedar Rapids police were notified on Monday of a suspect using someone else’s identity to receive medical services at a local hospital. Police say 34-year-old Kaycee Stickley had been using another person’s identity at a minimum of two medical facilities in Cedar Rapids. She faces multiple charges.

DES MOINES, IA (IRN) – Republicans have released three plans to cut taxes in Iowa and all share the common themes of phasing in a flat personal income tax and eliminating taxes on retirement income at a cost of billions of dollars to state revenue. Democrats argue the changes would primarily help high-income residents and risk future budget problems.

AMES, IA (IRN) – The Tenth-ranked Iowa State women’s basketball team matched the best start in school history with a 76-58 victory over Oklahoma State at Hilton Coliseum Saturday. The Cyclones improved to 20-3 on the season and 9-2 in Big 12 Conference play. It’s only the second time in program history that Iowa State has reached 20 wins in its first 23 games and it’s the first time since the 2000-01 season.
