DAVENPORT, IA (IRN) – Police have released the name of the man who died after exchanging gunfire with officers Sunday following a vehicle and foot chase. The Iowa State Patrol has identified Kenneth Jamel Carrol, 24 of Davenport as the involved individual. An autopsy will be done at the Office of the Iowa State Medical Examiner. Officers tried to pull over his vehicle but he didn’t stop.

BUCHANAN COUNTY (IRN) – A missing four-year-old child reportedly last seen in the front yard of his residence in Buchanan County has been found deceased in a neighbor’s pond.

FORT DODGE, IA (IRN) – Fort Dodge Police are investigating after finding two men dead in a home. Police say the men were discovered by someone who entered their home Saturday morning. Police haven’t shared the identity of the two men and their cause of death is unknown at this time.

JOHNSON COUNTY, IA (IRN) – One person is dead after a crash in Johnson County Saturday morning. The victim’s vehicle crashed into a semi-trailer blocking the southbound lane as it was completing a U-turn.

AMES, IA (IRN) – The Big 12 has reached an agreement on a six-year contract extension with ESPN and Fox worth more than $2 billion that will keep the conference’s media rights with those networks through the 2030-31 college sports seasons.
