MAHASKA COUNTY, IA (IRN) – The Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation are investigating after a body was found in a home in rural Mahaska County Monday. An autopsy has been scheduled at the State Medical Examiner’s Office.

SIOUX CITY, IA (IRN) – An unidentified woman jumped into the Missouri River Monday near the Anderson Dance Pavilion in Sioux City. She was quickly rescued by an emergency response boat. The Sioux City Journal reports the woman was transported to a local hospital for unspecified treatment.

BURLINGTON, IA (IRN) – The FBI says the foot recovered in June 2016 at Lake West in Burlington belonged to a man missing since 2015. KWQC-TV reports the family of Steven Leasure reported him missing in May of 2015. He was last seen at a convenience store in Burlington putting air into his bike tire. Searches were conducted, but he was never found.

DAVENPORT, IA (IRN) – Police have arrested a person after a shots fired call in Davenport this morning. WQAD-TV reports no one was hurt by gunfire, but the suspect led police on a car chase into Rock Island where he crashed his vehicle. Rock Island Police made the arrest at the scene.

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (IRN) – Cedar Rapids fire investigators say fireworks caused a fire that destroyed a garage and heavily damaged a house Monday night. KCRG-TV reports fire crews arrived to find the garage fully engulfed in flames, which had spread to the attic and second floor of the home. The two adults, two children, and pets who lived in the home got out safely.

DES MOINES, IA (IRN) – For the first time, an Iowan will be on the cover of the World Wrestling Entertainment’s video game. The WWE announced Monday that Iowa native Seth Rollins will be the cover Superstar for WWE 2K18, the latest release in the video game franchise. KCCI-TV reports Rollins follows in the footsteps of other WWE 2K cover Superstars – Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, John Cena, and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Rollins was born in Buffalo, Iowa, and lives in Davenport.
