IOWA CITY – Five people, including three University of Iowa students, were injured in an early morning shooting in Iowa City on Sunday. NBC News reports five victims were injured, one of them in critical condition. Three of those attend the nearby university. Iowa City Police had not made an arrest as of late Sunday night and are searching for those spotted in security video. A confrontation involving a large group of people just before 2 a.m. seemed to lead to the use of weapons.

GRAND JUNCTION – Police are investigating a possible homicide in Grand Junction. WHO-13 reports the Greene County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home Sunday afternoon in the community. There was no indication of ongoing danger to the community, according to a release, and additional details are expected to be released soon.

WOODWARD – The City of Woodward once again has a police force following a two-month hiatus. The Des Moines Register reports Jeremy Long was hired earlier this month to replace Jim Graham, who resigned on February 14th following a disagreement with the community’s mayor. He stepped down days after the city’s fire chief was arrested. The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office was covering the town between the chiefs.
