DES MOINES, IA (IRN) – Des Moines police are investigating a stabbing on the city’s east side. WHO-TV reports officers were called to a home Saturday morning on reports of a fight. Investigators say two victims left the scene but were found nearby. A man and a women were taken to Methodist Hospital with multiple stab wounds. Police have not named any suspects.

MUSCATINE, IA (IRN) – The Muscatine Police Department is investigating a report of shots fired just after midnight Saturday that injured three individuals. WQAD-TV reports that shots were fired into the residence from outside. All victims are being treated and are in stable condition.

DES MOINES, IA (IRN) – Two Des Moines firefighters were injured while putting out a house fire early Saturday morning. Fire crews entered the home to extinguish the final flames, and one firefighter fell through the first floor into the basement, falling on top of another firefighter.
Both firefighters were taken to Iowa Methodist Medical Center with minor injuries and are expected to recover. No one was home when the fire started. The home is a complete loss.

AMES, IA (IRN) – David Montgomery scored the game-winning touchdown with 4:34 remaining as Iowa State rallied from 17 points down in the fourth quarter to beat Kansas State 42-38 Saturday in Ames. The Cyclones trailed 38-21 with 12 minutes left before scoring the game’s final 21 points.
