POLK COUNTY, IA (IRN) – A single-car crash on the East Mixmaster in Des Moines left one person dead and three others injured early Saturday morning. Twenty-year-old Taylor Babcock was killed in the crash. Twenty-one-year-olds Kelcey Perry, Brandon Bryant and 20-year-old William Hoyle were all taken to hospitals. There’s no word on their conditions.

EDDYVILLE, IA (IRN) – New developments have surfaced in Monday’s deadly crash near Eddyville that claimed the life of a Wilton, Iowa man. KTVO-TV reports authorities are now charging the driver, Jacob Anthony Ross, 29, of Eddyville, in connection with a burglary that occurred earlier that night. Ross allegedly stole auto parts and a water pump from a property in Eddyville, and then fled the scene. He lost control of his stolen truck, and the impact killed his passenger, Jessie Parker, 28, of Wilton.

SAINT CHARLES, IA (IRN) – A Clive Fire Department lieutenant’s home in Saint Charles was engulfed in flames. Now, the only thing left standing is the chimney. KCCI-TV reports Lt. Gerrit Foreman’s home was destroyed Saturday morning while his wife and children were home. Luckily, his family got out safely, but their belongings and home are ashes. Assistant Chief Brian Helland says, “he’s the first person that will drop anything and come help you…he’s done that for years. It’s just in his personality and it’s who he is.”

MANHATTAN, KS (IRN) – Iowa State fell to Kansas State in football 27-17. Yet, they are still bowl-bound, and they find out their upcoming bowl opponent Dec. 8.
