BETTENDORF, IA (IRN) – A high school science teacher in Davenport has been accused of secretly recording nude videos of two females who’d stayed at his Bettendorf home. KCCI-TV reports Clinton Van Fossen, 58, faces multiple charges. Davenport Community School District officials said Friday that Van Fossen had been placed on administrative leave with pay. He’s listed as a science teacher at Davenport West High School.

NORTHWOOD, IA (IRN) – A fight with state troopers resulted in probation for an eastern Iowa man. KIMT-TV reports Dameko Lamon Jones, 42, of Marion, pleaded guilty to multiple charges for an April 2019 incident in Worth County. When Jones was pulled over on Interstate 35 he grabbed a knife from one trooper and tried to grab the gun of another. In the struggle, Jones bit a trooper on the thumb, drawing blood. He’s been sentenced to two years of probation.

DES MOINES, IA (IRN) – A Des Moines teenager was shot in the groin Sunday afternoon, according to KCCI-TV. The 16-year-old male suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

IOWA CITY, IA (IRN) – An Iowa City man is facing a theft charge for allegedly stealing from lottery scratch-off tickets and cash from a gas station he worked at. KCRG-TV reports David Jackson, 39, was seen on video stealing cash and lottery tickets.

QUAD CITIES (IRN) – Passengers aboard a Delta flight in the Quad Cities were in for a shock Saturday afternoon when a plane slid on an icy taxiway. According to Quad City International Airport, the plane was taxiing on the tarmac just after 1 p.m. The flight was carrying dozens of passengers and crew headed for Detroit, Michigan. No injuries were reported.
