WORTH COUNTY, IA (IRN) – First responders helped save a person’s life early Friday morning at Diamond Jo’s Casino in Worth County. KIMT-TV reports on arrival at the casino, deputies found one person unconscious due to apparent opiate use. Deputies administered several doses of Narcan prior to EMS arrival and the person regained consciousness and was transported by ambulance to the hospital.

ANKENY, IA (IRN) – An Ankeny man was booked into the Polk County Jail Friday on a charge of invasion of privacy after police say he recorded video of a man in the bathroom stall next to him on DMACC’s Ankeny campus. WHO-TV reports the victim allegedly caught 18-year-old Benjamin Brcka using a cell phone to record him in the stall while he was urinating. Brcka also admitted to filming another male at an Iowa Cubs game a year ago and filming men in the bathroom four different times at Principal Park.

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (IRN) -Two women from Maryland are facing charges after they allegedly stole checks and cashed them in West Des Moines. The two collaborated to forge checks totaling more than $10,000.

CEDAR FALLS, IA (IRN) – Dowling Catholic won against West Des Moines Valley 21-16 in the final round of the 4A football championship. This is Dowling Catholic’s seventh consecutive title. For class 3A, Western Dubuque took home the trophy against Solon 37-17. OABCIG was the 2A winner against Waukon 37-12. West Lyon won against Van Meter for the 1A title 50-14. For Class A, West Hancock took down Grundy Center 21-17. In eight-player, Don Bosco came out on top against Audubon 35-19.

WATERLOO, IA (IRN) – It was a momentous day at the Black Hawk County Courthouse Friday as 26 children were adopted by 17 families for National Adoption Day. KWWL-TV reports this was the 8th annual event. Of the 17 adoptive families, thirteen were relative families.
