KEITH COUNTY, NE (IRN) – Four motorcyclists died after a crash Saturday south of Lake McConaughy in western Nebraska. KETV reports the four were from Iowa. Nebraska troopers said a vehicle crossed the centerline and struck two motorcycles that were traveling in the opposite direction. Each motorcycle had two people on board.

MONTICELLO, IA (IRN) – Authorities are investigating a small-plane crash that killed one person Saturday afternoon. Monticello police said the pilot, who was the sole occupant of the small aircraft, died after crashing around 4 p.m. in a cornfield near the Monticello Regional Airport, about 50 yards from the grass runway.

CARROLL, IA (IRN) – A woman was killed and a teenager was taken to the hospital after a two car crash in rural Carroll County. According to the Iowa State Patrol, 17-year-old Kizer Brockman drove through a stop sign and struck the car driven by 61-year-old Debra Kock. Both cars ended up in a ditch. When Troopers arrived Kock was already dead. Brockman was hospitalized.

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (IRN) – An eastern Iowa teen received a perfect score on her ACT test. KCRG-TV reports Natasha Brisbine was surprised at the result. Her mom woke her up with the news. Brisbine says critical thinking was the key to getting a perfect score. That, and getting over her test anxiety.
