OXFORD, IA (IRN) – An Iowa City man has been charged with homicide by vehicle — reckless driving for a June 16th wrong-way crash on Interstate 80 that killed a Texas man. According to the Iowa State Patrol, Steven Lucore, 32, was heading east in the westbound lanes between Tiffin and Oxford when he collided head-on with another car.

EAGLE GROVE, IA (IRN) – An individual was stabbed in Eagle Grove Friday, according to KCCI-TV. The individual was taken to a hospital where their condition is unknown.

IOWA CITY, IA (IRN) – Iowa City Police are investigating a report of an early morning burglary in downtown Saturday. At around 4:12 a.m., police received a call from a woman who claimed that she was woken up by a man inside her apartment who was speaking to her. The man left with a plastic bag, which allegedly contained an undisclosed amount of money. Other items in the apartment had been moved around during the incident. The woman was not injured.

VENTURA, IA (IRN) – A swimming advisory has been issued for McIntosh Woods State Park in north-central Iowa due to E. coli contamination. The Mason City Globe Gazette reports that a sample taken at the lake near Ventura in Cerro Gordo County exceeded a safe amount of the bacteria found in fecal matter.
