DES MOINES, IA (IRN) – A teenager was shot in the leg while driving in Des Moines Monday evening. WHO-TV reports it isn’t the first time a teenager was shot in that area while in a vehicle. ROBINS, IA (IRN) – Hundreds of employees at the Cedar Rapids General Mills plant could go on strike this week over failed contract negotiations. BONDURANT, IA (IRN) – An official announcement offered little clarity Monday as to who is behind Bondurant’s “Project Bluejay” distribution center. KCCI-TV reports the five-story 780,000 square foot building will sit on a 100-acre piece of land and promises to bring 1,000 jobs to the area. Officials remain tight-lipped over the company behind the center, but its code name has many speculating that Amazon is building the project.

IOWA (IRN) – Today is election day, and if you want to vote in Iowa, a new state law requires voter ID numbers on ballots. Anyone who doesn’t have identification will be given an Iowa voter identification card for free.
